This modern two-room (one bedroom) holiday apartment lies tucked away in a traditional wood chalet. Breathtaking views of the jewel-like Lake of Brienz and the the soaring mountains around it, it is a true paradise for hikers or those who just want to take it easy. You will immediately feel at home in this newly-renovated, ground-floor holiday flat. Decoarated in muted colours, the flat sleeps two (one double bed). An additional fold away single bed available on request (at additional charge), and/or, if required, a baby cot is also available (at additional charge). This is a non-smoking apartment, however, smokers are free to smoke on the terrace outside the flat.

Driving from the direction of Interlaken to Brienz:
Highway: Follow the green highway signs in the direction of Luzern until you see the BRIENZ turnoff. Drive towards Brienz, approximately 1.5 km,
and you will see a blue BRIENZ city sign on the right side of the road. You should now be at a traffic circle. Turn right up the hill (Schwanderstrasse)
and keep to the main road - you will pass one bus stop (marked Schwanden - Altersheim), and about 200 metres after this there is a small intersection
(and the bus stop marked Schwanden BIRGLI). Turn left up the hill and park behind the first house on the right. This is Ruetigaessli 2.
Enter at the front of the house, which faces Schwanderstrasse. WELCOME!
Driving from the direction of Luzern to Brienz:
Follow the green highway signs in the direction of Interlaken, driving over the Brünig pass until you reach the turn-off for Brienz
(use the green signs to Brienz, the blue signs are secondary roads). Then follow the directions from the Brienz turnoff, above.
Chalet Sunshine on foot from the Brienz train station
We are situated approximately 15 minutes walk from the Brienz train station. Please note! We are in Brienz, Berner Oberland, on the Lake of Brienz, NOT Brienz/Brinzauls! ...then turn right along the main road from the train station and walk approximately 200 metres until you see a small lane going up to the left (also marked "Fussweg Altersheim" and marked with yellow hiking signs to Ballenberg Museum and Schwanden). Walk to the end of this lane and cross the bridge over the stream. Continue walking up the main road (Schwanderstrasse), passing 6 houses on your left. There is a small intersection here, and we are the first house on the left after the intersection. Although our address is Rütigässli, we face onto Schwanderstrasse.
